Why do you have to "put up" with Affirmative Action (or anything else in your country, for that matter)? Is apathy a recently re-discovered virtue of the founding fathers of the U.S. or something?

 

Affirmative Action is a federal mandated pgm. that is supposed to be reconciliation to the negroes for their years of slavery in the south. While some aspects of the pgm. are ok, other parts of it are not.

Some parts are working for you, and for the rest you have the freedom to voice your opinion on. That's hardly having to "put up" with it, is it? FYI, the correct terminology, in your case, is "black people," not "negroes."

Not quite correct there in your wordage. Back then when the pgm was introduced the term "negro" was current. Over the years it has changed to "blacks" and the pgm was retribution for primarily negro slavery back in the 1800's, although it never could have benefit that generation... it was more for appeasing their present day ancesters who have raised their voices. The AA pgm. has morphed into including others like Hispanics and some others. Like I said, some aspects of the pgm. are ok and offer balance for opportunities, however the biggest caviat is that too often, the best qualified person for the job doesn't get hired because a department or company doesn't meet the recommended quotas on hired minorities.
Interestingly enough, there are indeed some present day blacks who feel AA is a bogus program to benefit the black race in America for something (slavery) that has been abolished for scores of years, and they were never a part or victim of. Many others are opportunists, and reach out with both hands for so-called entitlements of the program.

The innocent child is psychologically affected for life, but the tormentors seem to enjoy their infliction of pain. What was the parents' reaction? Did they file charges or a lawsuit?

 

This sounds like what the conquistadors did. Let's compare what they to the supposedly satanistic practises of the people and culture they destroyed

The Mesoamericans warred amongst themselves but generally didn't hurt any other cultures.
The conquistadors took it upon themselves to destroy all cultures that didn't believe in their god.

PS This doesn't sound a lot like the Cristian tenet to love and accept everyone.
