Seems like a lot of flattery and vague predictions to me. Kind of reminds me of that hit-or-miss scheme of mailing out sports results for the near future. Half the mailings favour one team, half the other. For the people who disregard that junk mail, or who take an interest but discover the prediction was wrong, the mailing is useless to the schemer. But for the small minority who believed in the predictions, and by chance the predictions were right, the suckers are hooked.

A belief in horoscopes, etc, is little more than an expression of the degree to which the odds have favoured the believer.

Horoscopes are a crap shoot. Some appear to be right on target while others are so far off base. The one above seems somewhere in the middle for accuracy as far as depicting me, my wife and kids. One problem with horoscopes is a good many folks who follow them daily, subconsciencously live their lives accordingly... lending them to further believe in it and perpetuate its purpose.

I find that people tend to really take notice of the things that match up to them (or they would like to believe match up to them) and almost completely disregard the comments that don't. So it can end up seeming like every horoscope matches you.
