I think that most often, it is the honest people who keep getting shafted. It seems to me that the laws are to protect the rich (including huge outfits, like pharmaceuticals, and insurance companies,) and next, the criminals, who know how to navigate the system.
I had a room-mate who was the recipient of a couple of organ transplants. He had to take handfuls of pills every day, just to stay alive. He had a lot to say about pharmaceutical companies, and none of it was nice.

 

Any of witch forum appropriate? Yes, it is usually it is the good people that get screwed. I think that is how the "If you can't beat them, join them." thing came about. I have a few things to say about that!

 

I work for a US company and make US dollars, but live in Canada. I've been doing this since 1999 and I've been steadily losing money since 2002. Ah, the heady days of the 1.6 exchance rate.

My understanding is that it's not so much the Canadian dollar getting stronger as it is the US dollar is dieing.
