I have two Winbook laptops that are dead and free plus the cost of shipping (CONUS only, no export) to a good home for other purposes.
The first is a Winbook XL where the hard drive controller has failed. The case, keyboard, and screen are functional. The battery died long ago (and isn't worth the weight to ship) and the HDD has been removed.
The second machine is a Winbook Si that fails to boot. Probable CMOS failure or other low level component. Again the case, keyboard, and screen are functional and the battery is dead and the HDD removed.
If you'd like one or both let me.
P.S. I actually have batteries for each machine, but don't think they are worth the weight to ship. If you would like the machine with or without the battery, please specify.
P.P.S. This offer expires May 19, 2012 when the transfer station holds the hazardous waste disposal day.
