Rough Draft of Schematic for RC motor controller

Blog entry posted in 'Uncategorised', March 27, 2010.

This is the first draft of my schematic for the controller, I haven't done any schematics before so I'm sure it will need some refinement. The connectors will be replaced as I decide what types to use, but for now this will cover the technical aspects so people can point out errors and suggest improvements. The script needs to be updated to support the calibration buttons, the idea is that the user will turn the control knob high and press calibrate, then low, press it again, then leave it centered and press it one more time, I may add an indicator light to help tell where you are in the calibration as well.

Now I need to figure out how to make a decent board layout, I'm using eagle 5.7 lite, I can make the layout, but it comes out as a bit of a mess. I just need more practice. I'll keep the improvements posted as I work on it. Please comment any suggestions you may have for the plan.
