erm pray your not from that crack pot cult are you ? that beleive its beeter for a pc to run 24/7 rather than only when needed pray whats the exscuse this time ? apart from being too lazy to press a button ?, no don't tell us that it damages the processor to turn it on and off or anything else because thats utter lazy bullshit

I tend to leave my PC running while I'm home, and likely to be using it on and off through out the day. Always kind of wondered about whether frequent rebooting was rough on it. Mostly I don't like the long time it takes, but the various noises it goes through as everything is spinning up, kind of sounds like a struggle. Envision the power supply being stressed, as every fan, motor, and circuit suddenly draws max. current all at once, before settling down to normal operation. Suppose it depends on how well the computer is built.

erm boloks I've never had something fail on me due to stress like you sugest the stuff is made to be turned on and off and its going to be stressing it at least as much to run it non stop as it is to turn it off, sure it makes a bit of bnoise didn't you know that motors and fans make noise ? the most of the noise made by the HDD is the armature swinging into position something it will possibly do constantly whilst on anyhow the acutal dish spinning you hardly hear, most of the running noise is air flow. stressful noise ? I have 3 HDDs and starting my computer don't sound bad at all things turn on they will make some noise unless they are solid state. the only HDD I've had fail was very well used and i had plenty of warning to get my stuff off of it. also when you leave it all on the HDD powrrs down anyhow so what did you gain ?

stop making so called technical exscuses for being lazy !
