I need to connect a polaroid 6500 ultrasonic senzor to a 8051 based microcontroller. But I can't figure out how, and my electronic skills aren't my best advantage in life

Pretty interesting datasheet albeit ancient.

This sounds like something I would like to get into myself. Seems like you n eed in addition to the ranging module to integrate a transducer. The datasheet there gives some example flowchart for both basic and assembly. So maybe that helps let me know.
