Default green line on screen

There's a green line appearing now on my LCD screen. what could be the matter?

It's usually a failure of the LCD panel itself.

I saw it on my LCD panel yesterday, and it disappeared after I tap on it a few times.

Yeah a lot of times LCD problems can be fixed by carefully hitting the screen a bit. If that wont do it then i guess you need a new screen.

yep, I get one of those right now...its a bad connection between the driver chips of the display (mount on flex ribbon cables) and the glass. Sometimes its intermittent, but most of the time its pretty permanent. It's annoying because its something us techies can't really fix ourselves.
