What is a good editor to use with Mpasm? I have copied a few code snippits and pasted them into a Wordpad or Notepad file just to try and compile with Mpasm. I get errors haveing something to do with 'and', there is no and or & in the code I tried. I know I am doing something wrong. I am going to do some (more) reading on using Mpasm and Mplab (just have to find time).

Thanks.

PS, Forgot to add that forgot most of my windows stuff, been doing linux for quite a few years, so I have to re-learn some stuff to get started.

There is not much available for Pic Programming for Linux so Windows is a better choice for this. I did put together a machine to do this which I think
is sufficient, P3 1G with 512mb ram should do it, only difference is it's headless, connecting via Remote Desktop, but I don't think that should cause problems.

If you post your code and you .err file, then we can see what the error is.

I use Crimson Editor, which is okay, and GNU, might be a port of it to linux...

Nice Avatar!!

I somehow posted this twice. I did find the error of my ways and got my first program compiled in MPLAB, I just did not pay enough attention when browsing thru the manual, now I just have to wait for my Junebug to come in the mail.
