I never thought of packaging and selling it as a kit, it would be quite possible to do so.
The art case and letter writing case I got from a Storables store, the sewing case and Velcro pads I got from Jo-Ann fabrics. They also had art and letter writing cases, but they were MUCH higher priced at Jo-Ann. The multimeter, antenna, and battery holders were from Radio Shack. The bank of RCA sockets were salvaged from a water damaged stereo. The modular breadboards sold by Futurelec would be good for this, my expansion board is from them, but the main board I just had lying around. The circuit modules I assembled on a small bit of perf, then put some hot glue as a base on the bottom to attach the Velcro pad. Some are mounted inside artist's paint pots, which I also got at Jo-Ann fabrics.
